Mommy Day Photos + Madam "MILF"

posted Sunday, 11 May 2008

I guess this is my 13th Mother's Day.  Lying Child was my ticket in.  I'm not a big fan of what I consider Hallmark holidays, but I certainly don't mind being pampered a bit!  When I say I'm not a big fan, what I mean is that I don't feel that I need a special gift, or a big dinner or anything.  I do like getting an uninterrupted nap, though!  Today, baby girl woke me up with a gift bag and threatened to unwrap it herself if I didn't hop to it.  In the bag were two gifts.  A paper weight we've owned for years and a pedometer that she got at a school fair last week.  Too cute!  Kids love to unwrap presents so they'll do just about anything to keep the fun going.  She proceeded to run out of the room and grab anything she could find to "give" to me.  Right now I'm wearing an orange and black tiger "poncho" (hers, given to me for today.)  She also handed me my wrinkle cream with a great deal of fanfare.  All are my gifts for today.  Middle started out strong, with a kiss and a hug, and quickly degenerated into his own charming self: screaming at me for ruining his life by "blogging" all the time.

I had not even begun this blog at the time.  Lying Child and hubby are at - surprise - ANOTHER soccer game.  Yesterday I went shopping for Grandma Ovary and who else? Me.  I got some MILF-y shirts and a new summer duvet cover.  I like to change things up in the bedroom for the seasons.  It must be a gemini thing - needing change like this.  I wanted to wax on-wax off about motherhood, but I think I need more coffee to do so.  Or Middle child to be nice to me.  Or that nap I mentioned.  Oh well, below you'll find Baby Girl previewing my outfit. Finally, it takes a good 45 minutes, but I put Madam Milf together with a visual aid - the quintessential shoes. We used our new photo booth on my new mac, which makes me feel a bit better about this mysterious computer I thought I had to have, which typically drives me crazy.  Happy Mother's Day to Catty and my other 13 faithful readers!

Happy Mother's Day to you! I love the poncho. That last outfit should push you right into chili pepper land. The shoes would put me into a wheelchair.

Hey, it takes a milf to know a milf, catty. And as for the shoes, I believe I have so twisted my tootsies that I am not among those crazy women who claim that high heels are comfortable. I put on flats, and feel naked! Oh vanity, thy name is Madam Ovary...again....how are you, girlfriend????
